4 food with 3 service. Pancakes were light and fluffy with excellent flavor. Eggs cooked over medium perfectly and bacon nice and crispy. $6 for coffee seems steep. None of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there which definitely has not been the norm here in Carmel. My wife and I each had pancakes, eggs and bacon with coffee. $61 without tip. I don't really get it.
Although the restaurant was busy due to Monterey car week we only waited about 15 minutes to be sat. Once sat we got our food fairly quick. We decided for the Katy's Combo and overall it was a 4/5. My only issue was that the bacon I got (not pictured here) was a little on the burnt side but everything else was delicious. All in all I would recommend this place, just make sure you bring cash!
We were planning our day trip to Carmel and wanted to find a good spot for breakfast and stumbled upon this one, and I am so glad we did! The vibe is cute and cozy, not a big place but that is just fine. The service was wonderful, everyone working seems very happy to be there and were extremely friendly. The hot apple cider is super yum and the French toast was delicious! We were all extremely happy with our food (even though it was a bit costly) and would absolutely go back. Highly highly recommend this place!
Wonderful spot for breakfast! This cozy, quaint and simply adorable restaurant was the perfect spot for a casual morning meal. It had an old school indoor dining room and a little outdoor patio that was situated under a big tree. The menu had an all-day breakfast and lunch menu. All of the standards were available. We ordered veggie omelette plates with potatoes and bread. Our food arrived quickly, and was in good portion. The omelette was packed with vegetables, hearty and flavorful. Service was excellent. Our servers were welcoming, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our time here and would visit again for breakfast. If you decide to visit, make sure to bring cash since it's cash only.
